About Me

Hello ASI Community! My name is Mouataz Marzouk, I am 18 years old and currently a Senior at Al Akhawayn School. One of the main fields of interests in life are sports, but most importantly travelling, and the discovery of new cultures around the world. That's why I chose a senior project that suits this environment, since it will a fun and motivational journey! This project taught me to manage my time, be responsible and organized, which are tools that will come in handy next year when I study Business Administration at AUI.

The Goal

The goal of my Senior Project was to study the various aspects and fields of my dream country Italy. My study interests were broken down in 3 main categories, those being the culture, history, and politics of the nation. I first made a lot of online research regarding these topics and made a presentation for each one of them. I then organized a one week trip to Rome in April to visit the monuments and streets that would reflect my online research.

Why Italy?

I chose Italy because it is a culturally diverse nation with a solid history and background, perfectly fiting what I am looking for. It has great monuments, streets and architecture to analyse which would solidify my research. Finally, it has also been highly recommended to me by some of my friends from the previous senior classes who went there as being a great place for both education and entertainment.
